Reporting, moderation, and safety
Content moderation
We use automated systems to keep the platform safe and to comply with app store and legal requirements:
- Images are checked before upload for adult, violent, or sexually suggestive content. Content that violates our policy is blocked and cannot be uploaded.
- Text (posts, comments, journal entries, circle messages) is checked against our community standards. Content that contains prohibited terms (e.g. illegal, hateful, threatening, or explicit material) is rejected.

Reporting content in the app
You can report posts and goals directly from the feed and from user profiles.
- Three-dots menu: On every post and goal in the feed (and on profile pages), tap or click the three-dots icon (⋮) in the top-right of the card. Choose Report post or Report, select a reason (harassment, spam, illegal content, inappropriate content, hate speech, or other), and optionally add details. Your report is sent to our team for review. We take action when content violates our policies.
- Remove from feed: The same menu lets you Remove from feed to hide that item from your view without reporting it.
For full details: Safety standards & content moderation.
Reporting child safety concerns
For child safety concerns you can also use in-app reporting (same three-dots menu and choose a reason such as illegal content), or contact us directly.
- In the app: Use Report on the content (see above), or open Settings and tap Report a safety concern to open this help page and our safety standards.
- By email: Send a report to goodsite.ethos@gmail.com. We take all reports seriously and respond promptly.

Reporting to authorities
Grove complies with relevant child safety laws and reports to regional and national authorities when required or when we identify or receive reports of child sexual abuse or exploitation.
- National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline (US): https://report.cybertip.org/
- Local law enforcement: You may also report to your local police or child protection agency.
